For this project, I redesigned a pet grooming website. I used four different websites to do the redesign. The websites were Carrd.co, Squarespace, WordPress, and Webflow. I wanted something that felt inviting but still fun, so I chose to use neutral colors for most of the web page, but also added in a pop of color and lots of images. On the original web page, there was a lot of text that felt overwhelming, so I tried to make sure the text was more organized on the redesign. It was a fun project to get to look into a website and see what I could do to redesign it.

Below are the different homepages for each of the website builders I used to recreate the pet grooming website. Each one is slightly different, but they all still have the same design elements in them. The websites for Carrd.co and Webflow can both be accessed below.

Design Process Document for Pet Grooming Website

Design System - I started off by creating the design system for the website redesign. I chose colors that weren't quite as bright but were still fun to add a pop of color. I also went for a font that was much simpler. I wanted to make the text easy to read and allow the photos of the grooming to be the main focus of the webpage.

Pet Grooming Logos

Logos - I wanted to create a logo that was fun and cute, but also tied to the aspect of pet grooming. I thought using the paws and the grooming scissors would be a good way to do this.
